Stars and Stripes Europe Letters to Santa 2021

Letters to Santa is open to current U.S. government ID cardholders and members of the general public.

Every year, Stars and Stripes displays the wonderful letters written to Santa Claus by children in the military community living in Europe, Turkey, and Bahrain. Participants can write a letter to Santa Claus courtesy of Stars and Stripes at the North Pole and drop it in their MPS mailbox, or Post Office. All letters postmarked by December 20th will receive a letter back from “Santa” as well.  You must have access to APO/PPO to participate in Letters to Santa via MPS.

Stars and Stripes will be accepting letters starting November 1st until December 20th. The letters will be uploaded to the website:  and some may be shared on the Stars and Stripes Europe Facebook page at or read on air with Armed Forces Network (AFN). Parents can visit the website to view their child’s letter and even share it with friends and family.

Letter Uploading period:

The letter uploading period for the Letters to Santa website begins November 1, 2021 and ends at 11:59 PM Europe Standard Time on December 20, 2021.

How to participate in "Stars and Stripes Letters to Santa":

1) Families in the APO/PPO can visit for the easy directions and download the letter forms to help write your letter.  Drop it in the mail:

By sending a letter, you agree that you understand that you are providing your child’s Christmas wish list information to the Stars and Stripes Europe Office.  You give Stars and Stripes permission to share, reprint, and reproduce your submitted letter in both print and media, such as AFN,, and Facebook.

Stars and Stripes respects your child’s privacy.  Stars and Stripes does not share any personal information on the Letters to Santa website, aside from the child’s first name. In addition, we do not publish letters that are indecent, suggestive, offensive, contain attacks of a personal, racial, or religious nature, or which reflect unfavorably on competitive organizations, institutions, or merchandise.
